and hopefully apple can lead the way to a positive day for everyone out there. the company did meet expectations in the latest quarter. even though its profit fell 18% from a year earlier to $9.5 billion, first year-over-year profit dropped for apple in a decade. revenue though up 11% to $43.6 billion another record quarter for the company. no new product announcements coming out but it did listen to shareholders. it is going to reward them with $145 billion in cash. it's upping its dividend by 15% and expanding buy back to $60 billion. after dropping in after-hours trading after that report yesterday,apple up 1.25%. also helping the market this morning is boeing after it topped earnings expectations. hits shares are rising quite a bit. -- its shares are rising quite a bit. durable goods orders dropped 5% last month due to a big drop in aircraft orders down 48%. in february you can see that goods orders were up by 4.3%. that report though not helping out all that much as we look at the big board right now. the blue chips are dropping by 11 points. nasdaq is up b
